Dua After Performing Wudu
After completing wudu (ablution), the Prophet ﷺ taught a specific dua that opens all eight gates of Paradise for the believer. Wudu is not merely physical cleansing — it is an act of worship, and this dua seals it with a declaration of faith and a prayer for forgiveness.
Transliteration
Ashhadu an lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lah, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhū wa rasūluh. Allāhumma-jʿalnī mina-t-tawwābīn wa-jʿalnī mina-l-mutaṭahhirīn.
Translation
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, make me of those who repent and make me of those who purify themselves.
