Dua for Good Health and Healing
The Prophet ﷺ taught duas for health both as prevention and as a response to illness. The most well-known ruqyah (healing supplication) for oneself asks Allah — al-Shafi, the Healer — for complete, lasting healing that leaves no trace of illness. The Prophet ﷺ also used to recite this over the sick and blow on them.
Transliteration
Allāhumma rabba-n-nās, adh-hibi-l-baʾs, ishfi anta-sh-shāfī, lā shifāʾa illā shifāʾuk, shifāʾan lā yughādiru saqamā.
Translation
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the affliction. Heal — You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that does not leave any illness behind.
